Time to Kick Off Cover to Cover 2015!
As you know, this group is dedicated to reading the Bible from cover to cover in 2015.  A reading plan is posted.  Come join me in this challenge to read the WHOLE Bible in one year.   2015 will  be the year you let the Holy Spirit teach you what you need to know in the Living Word.  January 1st starts the first day, so I invite you to join us now and be prepared to let God to great things in your life as you read and study His Word.

1 John 2:27 "But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him."

    Sister Tammy, your not the only one that does that. I do too myself. My desire is to study the Word of Almighty God. I always get more out of it. Tammy, there is nothing wrong in what you are doing. I agree along with Sheila. Go at your own pace. Praise the Lord.

    I really had every intention of doing this, I truly did. I tried starting & never got thru the first day. So I began to ask myself WHY? I think one reason is because I make myself feel like I HAVE to. It's like a school assignment that I had to do. However, I was a great student. I wasn't a good student because my mama & daddy wanted me to be but because I wanted to be. I love learning. So, why am I already 7 days behind on reading the Bible cover to cover?

    I finally realized the answer this morning. It is because I can't just read it. I find points & topics & Scriptures that are so interesting that I stop on them, research Hebrew words for it, study it more in depth, etc. So, now I understand. It's not that I don't want to because I do but it's because I want to dig into it deeper. So, instead of beating myself up because I'm behind, I'm praising Him for the desire to want to know His Word deeper to understand Him more & to gain a knowledge of Him that I may not have had yesterday. Thank You Lord for your Word & the peace & comfort that it gives.

    Sister Sheila, I accept the challenge for the Bible in a year. Why I said that. My King James Expository Study Bible has all the notes mix within the Scriptures. Lord Bless you and have A Joyful New Year. Joy is greater than Happy. Love you sis. Bro. Harold.
