Depths of God’s love amidst the obstacles of life
In John Chapter 1 Jesus is revealed as the Word, the Light and the fullness of God’s grace
He is the Bread of life in Chapter 6
That nourishes eternal life
He is the bread from heaven
He is the Light of the world in Chapter 8
He is the true Shepherd and the door of the sheepfold
in Chapter 10
and we see a security in Jesus in Chapter 11
knowing He is the resurrection and the life
OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS ENCOUNTERING
THE NEW BIRTH and the LIFE INTENDED
• John 3:3 to be born again…obtain this new life
• John 5:24 hear the word and believe...retain this life
• John 6:53 Partake, absorb, be nourished by in all aspects
• John 12:24 be guided by the Holy Spirit not our emotions
• John 14:12 live out this new life affecting all aspects of life being His hands extended

THE SON OF GOD: Throughout the book of John Jesus is
Referred to as the Son of God bearing a family resemblance to His heavenly Father and likewise sharing His Father’s

THE REVEALER OF GOD: Jesus fully reveals to us what
God is truly like and unfolds the mind set and nature of His Father John14:9
WE SUBSEQUENTLY NEED TO GROW
As a follower and friend of Jesus our thinking about Him and
Our relationship with Him is of utmost importance with faith
And our dependence on Him affecting every aspect of our being
As the bread of Life John 6:35 we look to Him to satisfy the soul
As the Light of the World John 8:12 we anticipate His guidance to affect every aspect of our life and inner most being
As the Good Shepherd John 10:11 His care will keep and guard us as we so put our confidence in Him who can handle all that comes our way in life
As the Resurrection and the Life John 11:25 To trust Him and put our confidence in Him knowing He has the power and His word has ultimate authority
As the Way, the truth and the Life John 14:6 We find
Meaning, purpose and direction for our life and through Christ
We can encounter the ultimate purpose originally intended
As the Vine John 15:1 reveals the need of that abiding relationship that is constant and ongoing.
ABIDING IN THIS RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS IS THE REAL SECRET TO A LIFE OF BEING A FOLLOWER AND DISCIPLE OF JESUS WHEREBY WE ENCOUNTER THE POWER IN PRAYER THAT SCRIPTURE REVEALS CAN BE OURS
