When we read through the Bible, we find praise and worship is a big part of what the believer should be doing.
We know that we should verbally be praising Jesus, even in the mist of our storms.
I often hear some say that they don't believe we should allow instruments in church.
"Stringed instruments aren't allowed in the church," they will say. Drums?
They will say, "No way should all that pounding be allowed."
Wind instruments?
Would God want flutes and trumpets in church?
What is wrong with just a piano?
My thoughts on this are like this:
If all you have is a person who is gifted in playing the piano in
your congregation, then that's what you have.
I would like you to look at some verses and see what God has
to say about instruments and praise.
After all, it isn't about us, It is all about Him.
Praise God!!
Psalms 150:1-6 Praise ye the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
(2) Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
(3) Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
(4) Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
(5) Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
(6) Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD.
